Amazon has big plans to enter the messaging market.

According to a report from AFTV News, the eCommerce king is hard at work on its own messaging app known as Anytime.

Amazon is currently surveying its customers about potential features for the app, but it is not know how far along the company is on the its development.

According to the AFTV report, the app appears to be “an all-in-one feature rich service that could even rival social networks.” Messaging, voice and video calls, and photo sharing will be the main focuses and users of the app will be able to play games and have access to image and video filters and stickers.

The app would give users the ability to call, via audio or video, other individuals or groups as well as contact businesses to order products or make reservations. Anytime would also keep chats private and give users the ability to “encrypt important messages like bank account details.”

Anytime would work on both desktops and mobile devices running Android or iOS.

The launch of Anytime would complement Chime, the enterprise video conferencing app Amazon launched in February. Chime enables virtual meetings and group calls, taking on Microsoft-owned Skype and Google Hangouts.
